The Weekender: January 31-February 2

Art & Culture, The Weekender

As we enter another cold month, I am making sure to make plenty of time for rest and fun. The winter can certainly get you down – especially with the (below) freezing temperatures we’ve been experiencing. Take a little time for you this weekend!

Nourish Your Soul. The beloved Medford juice shop and cafe has opened a second location in South Boston’s Fort Point. On Saturday, Nourish Your Soul will be hosting a grand opening party at their Channel Center location. Free juice, snacks and giveaways!

Celebrate Like the French. No celebration in France is complete without good food and drink – and many holidays are about good food! This weekend, Boston’s French Cultural Center is throwing a crêpe and cider party in honor of the Fête de la Chandeleur, which is also known as Crêpe Day. This event is 21+.

Nachos! Beer! Oh, and Football. It’s no surprise that Superbowl Sunday is happening this weekend. Row 34 is hosting a fun Superbowl party with bites such as fried chicken wings and lobster roe popcorn. If football isn’t your thing, there’s always the Puppy Bowl!  #GoSeahawks!

I Mustachio a Question. If you are into beards (or not), you won’t want to miss this weekend’s Beardfest. Yup, you read that right. There will be five categories including free-style mustache and fake beard. This sounds like a definite Instagram-worthy event.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend! xo
