I love trying new beauty products. I approach each with a sense of curiosity – what is the story behind the cute packaging? Who created this and why? I get personally involved in my favorite things, whether it is a lip balm or fragrance, there’s a reason we choose what we wear.
Here are a few of my current must-have beauty products.
Shamanuti’s Pumpkin Enzyme Mask – I’m slightly obsessed with all things Shamanuti. When I came across the brand a few months back, I was intrigued. What is activated charcoal, anyways (which is what their cleanser is made from)? Well, one night I tried the pumpkin enzyme mask – and just like that, I was hooked. Honestly, the stuff is amazing. I have sensitive skin and masks can often be too drying. Shamanuti’s mask is so nourishing – it leaves my skin silky and healthy. Plus, it’s made in Massachusetts (bonus points). South End’s Follain also sells Shamanuti.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir – This little spritzer packs quite the punch. First of all, I love the scent – it is fresh and crispy. I take this spray on flights (nothing like a little refresher post-flight) and use in the morning after applying lotion.
Aquaphor – It certainly isn’t a “luxury item”, but I’ve been using Aquaphor for years now. On my lips, burns, dry hands & elbows – you name it, Aquaphor works.
Josie Maran’s Argan Oil – Similar to Aquaphor, argan oil can be used almost everywhere. I put a small amount in damp hair post-shower and also on my cheeks. I honeymooned in Marrakech and toured an argan oil factory, but only started using the oil years later.
Suki’s Exfoliating Foam Cleanser – Based in Northampton, the Suki Skincare line includes my favorite exfoliator. Nourishing and cleansing, this one is a winner.
