Fundraiser Party for Maiti Nepal

Lend a Hand, Unique Boutiques

132

We love browsing the shelves at North End shop Shake the Tree – it is such a great place to find unique gifts or interesting cookbooks. On Thursday, stop by the store for a cocktail party to raise money for the Friends of Maiti Nepal, an amazing organization in Nepal that aims to help girls who have been victims of sex trafficking, providing them with shelter, education, healthcare, and support. The group will be selling their handmade jewelry, with 100% of the sale donated to the organization. Plus, learn more about their important work by watching segments of their documentary, “The Day My God Died.”  Guests can also sip cocktails from Art in the Age and enjoy complimentary chair massages from North End neighbor Bodywaves Boston.

The passion of Maiti Nepal founder Anuradha Koirala and those who work with her to stop the trafficking of women and girls is so incredibly inspiring. We are also so happy to see some of our city’s small businesses come together to help women from across the world!

Cocktail Party Fundraiser for the Friends of Maiti Nepal. Thursday, March 6, 6-8 pm. Shake the Tree, 67 Salem Street.
